Questions about the BADL

There have been a lot of questions about the BADL about rights, why we're collecting work, etc.

In brief:
Rights: We will not own the rights to whatever we reproduce on the digital library. If you have any questions about who owns the rights to your work, please consult whatever contract you've signed with your studio/publisher/etc. We do not know who owns the rights to your work, but in most cases even if you've published/performed your work, you still own the rights unless a contract specifically states otherwise.

Reason: This is a project we're doing for school. It may be online for a few months or a few years, and is merely a prototype. If someone wants to maintain it after we get it going, then we can discuss that at a future date.

Collection:
We're collecting work just as we would for a normal library, so don't worry about your work being "judged." We want to represent as broad a sample of Buffalo arts as possible.

Please read the FAQ closely for more information.
